These moments from our Robby Bill Memorial Clinic with the Confederated Tribes of Umatilla Indians remind us exactly why we do this work. Creator’s Game is meant to bring joy, laughter, connection—and these photos show just how powerful that medicine can be.
From little ones picking up a stick for the first time to young adults leading by example, we saw pure joy on the field all day.
We’re grateful to share space, spirit, and smiles with this community. It’s always an honor to play a Native game on Native land—and it’s even more special when we get to feel this much joy doing it.

All four of these young men have played for pnwnativelax, and now we all get the honor of suiting up for puyallupvikingslacrosse this spring, where I have the honor of serving as Head Coach for the high school boys` team.

Mission`s very own Ryan Smith, assisted the wonderful Savannah Smith, Indigenous Lacrosse Coach, to share knowledge of "The Creator`s Game: An Introduction to Lacrosse" this week.
They attended two elementary schools, and between the two schools, they assisted 225 students to participate in Lacrosse!
Also shout out to I-SPARC for their sponsorship of healthy snacks for all the students to enjoy afterwards.
Thank you, Savannah, for allowing Ryan to join you on these amazing learning events!

Of course, I didn`t get it on camera, but Liam had an assist today! They played two tough games and really showed out in the second game against a super dirty team. Seriously, I thought I was gonna get arrested at a youth lacrosse game. (He got the assist in that game, which made it even sweeter). It`s really sad to see these young kids learning the game the wrong way. I tell Liam that he needs to play with a good mind or the ancestors will come after him, and so far, he`s been alright 😉 Even got my run (a little over 3 miles) in between games before I crash out for a few hours and then head in to my work week tonight.

We’re beyond proud to share that bblackhorn06 (Northern Cheyenne & Navajo) has officially committed to play lacrosse and attend Onondaga Community College (onondagalacrosse )—home to the 12x National Champion Lazers.
bblackhorn06 has been foundational to pnwnativelax from the very beginning. He’s played in all three of our high school boys tournaments, helped lead our camp with the Siletz Tribe in Oregon, supported our clinic with uo.nasu at the uoregon , and even joined us on-air with opbphoto to talk about the Indigenous roots of the Creator’s Game.
He’s not just a player—he’s a mentor, a leader, and a living example of what happens when Native youth are empowered by this Medicine.
We are so excited for this next chapter of his journey, and we know he’s just getting started.
